Professor Vivekanand Jha is the Executive Director of the George Institute for Global Health India, Chair of Global Kidney Health, Faculty of Medicine, Imperial College, London and the Immediate Past-President of International Society of Nephrology. He is an established clinician-scientist with a substantial track record in clinical as well as basic science research in the field of kidney disease and transplantation. He is recognised as a global expert on the burden of kidney disease and its socioeconomic impact on low-middle income countries. He has helped development of global guidelines in glomerulonephritis and transplant. He advises the Govt of India as a member of Task Forces and Scientific Advisory Committees and is an Advisor to the WHO.
