A highly experienced and qualified Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist in Peritoneal Dialysis who undertook training to complete PD access procedures and has been doing so independently for over a decade.Winner of the Heal Award for Pioneering in Health Care 2010 and The Brisish Renal Society Jane MacDonald BRS Leadership Award 2015. Registered with the Royal College of Nursing as an Advanced Level Nursing Practitioner in 2021.
A strong advocate of home based, patient centred and evidence based practice that empowers Renal patients to take control and be involved whether through shared care of self-care. To this end I am serving on the International Society of Peritoneal Dialysis Nurses committee and the NHS England Renal Services Transformation Programme as well as teaching on the UK PD Academy.
